本展では、ポーランドのヨハネ・パウロ2世美術館が誇るポルチェンスキ・コレクションの中から、絵画の中の女性たちに焦点を当てた61点を厳選し、レンブラントやナティエ、ゴヤなどルネサンス以降400年にわたる西洋絵画を紹介します。
This exhibition features 61 works selected from the Museum of John Paul II Collection (Porczyński Gallery) in Poland, with a focus on women in paintings, and introduces Western paintings spanning 400 years since the Renaissance, including Rembrandt, Nattier, and Goya.

東広島市立美術館のコレクションは、版画や現代陶芸、郷土ゆかりの作品などを中心に形成されています。本展では、3階・2階の両展示室を使用し、昨年度の新収蔵作品を交えながら絵画や版画、立体作品など様々な分野の作品をご紹介します。
The collection at the Higashihiroshima City Museum of Art consists mainly of prints, contemporary ceramics, and works related to the local area. This exhibition includes both the 3rd floor and 2nd floor exhibition rooms that introduce various artwork including paintings, prints, and three-dimensional works, as well as newly acquired works from last year’s collection.

Works created from travels around the world in search of unknown landscapes and by taking on the challenge of collaborating with different genres. In connection with the “Keiko Yokomichi Collection,” this exhibition features works that focus on the keyword “adventure.

広島県呉市の絵本・紙芝居作家よこみちけいこ。本展では呉空襲の被災女性に取材した『ふうちゃんのそら』や絵描き歌でお馴染み『まんじゅうやのてるこさん』、そして東広島市発祥の西条柿をモデルにした新作絵本など、心温まる作品世界をお楽しみください。
Keiko Yokomichi is a picture book and picture story show artist from Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture. This exhibition features the heartwarming world of her works, including “Fu-chan no Sora,” which is based on the true story of a woman who survived the Kure Air Raid during WWII, “Manjuya no Teruko-san,” which is well known for its drawing songs, and a new picture book featuring the Saijo persimmon, which originated in Higashihiroshima City.

東広島市ゆかりの刀鍛冶・大山住宗重は大山（八本松宗吉・安芸区瀬野）において室町時代中期から末期にかけて活躍し、大山鍛冶は八代続いたとされています。本展では、所在が確認された十五振りを一堂に展示するともに、広島県（安芸国と備後国）の名刀や広島県内で活躍する現代刀工の作品をあわせて展示します。
The swordsmith Oyama Ju Muneshige, associated with Higashihiroshima City, was active in Oyama (the area from Muneyoshi, Hachihonmatsu-cho to Seno, Aki-ku) from the mid to the late Muromachi period, and Oyama blacksmithing is said to have continued for eight generations. This exhibition displays fifteen swords whose locations have been confirmed, as well as famous swords from Hiroshima Prefecture (Aki and Bingo Provinces) and works by contemporary swordsmiths active in Hiroshima Prefecture.

In conjunction with the special exhibition “The Beauty of Japanese Swords: Oyama Ju Muneshige and Swords Associated with Hiroshima,” this exhibition introduces selected works from the collection with a focus on “Hiroshima,” including ceramics, sculptures, and other three-dimensional works created by artists with ties to the local area.

The Higashihiroshima City Art Exhibition displays a wide collection of artwork which the museum collected from citizens of Higashihiroshima. These works are in six art fields of painting, calligraphy, sculptures, industrial art, photography and design. 東広島の酒づくりの歴史や文化を中心に、近代から戦前戦後、そして現在から未来までを軸として、美術家・宇佐美雅浩による制作プロジェクトを実施。積み上げてきたこの街の歩みに目を向けながら、今を生きる人々の記憶と思いを未来へ託します。
This production project, by artist Masahiro sami, focuses on the history and culture of sake-brewing in Higashihiroshima, from modern times to the prewar and postwar periods, and from the present to the future. While looking at the history and progress this city has made over the years, we entrust the memories and thoughts of the people living today to the future.
